'Emmerdale Sponsorship'

Curiouser and curiouser.
by Andrew MacGregor

These Confused.com idents remind us of when Eddie Hitler (Adrian Edmondson) rants about an 'Emmerdale' extra who "never says anything and just drinks all day" at the Woolpack. He's not the only one with an eye for detail, though no one shouts at the screen like one of the Hammersmith Hardmen.

The off-beat cast instead ask questions like "Do mechanics on TV actually know how to fix cars?" and "Do animals on 'Emmerdale" have agents?" DAVID sympathises with the bloke who wonders why soap characters have so much laundry to fold, all the while haunted by the sound of his washing machine.

There's an uncanny, dream-logic vibe to these idents that's almost hypnotic—only 'Rumble' by Link Wray can break the spell as usual. Tune into their strange frequency and there is much to enjoy, perhaps even adore.
