The Women's Rugby World Cup kicks off on Friday, 22 August 2025, but organisers World Rugby are already pumped. So are Ellie Kildunne (England), Manaé Feleu (France), Babalwa Latsha (South Africa), and Renee Holmes (New Zealand), stars of this one-year pre-anniversary commercial. If Kildunne wins the trophy on home soil, the mural she runs past may well become a reality. Before paint touches brick, the full-back and her teammates must surpass six-time champions New Zealand—Holmes, you can tell, wants title number seven. Feleu screams into the camera as a Gallic rooster stands tall on a rugby ball, but an even better job is done with Latsha. Sat on a pedestal like a work of art, she reads a newspaper with the headline "Latsha Goes Pro"—a nod to when she became the first African women's player to turn professional. Whoever makes headlines next year, the story began here with Elle Brooks-Tao's lively commercial. Expect an energy spike as the tournament draws closer.
