2024 Mercury Prize nominees The Last Dinner Party are the latest band to release a short film-cum-music video made to tide fans over. Harv Frost, director of 'The Feminine Urge', 'My Lady of Mercy', and 'Caesar on a TV Screen', was the natural pick to helm 'Prelude to Ecstasy', where Dario Argento meets baroque pop. Frost not only runs with the undercurrent of 'Suspiria' found in 'The Feminine Urge', but also expands on it. As a result, Abigail Morris, Lizzie Mayland, Emily Roberts. Georgia Davies, and Aurora Nishevci are students in a dance school not unlike the Tanz Akademie, where magic, music, and malice run riot. Die-hard fans will be, erm, ecstatic.
