'End the Errrrr'
5 March 2024 60s
Indecision time.
by Andrew MacGregor

This Sky commercial reminds DAVID of a Strongbow ad where Tim Key gasped for almost thirty seconds. His was a sigh of satisfaction—the one here is the sound of indecision. When a couple sit down to watch some television, the woman asks what they should stick on. All the man can do is say, "Errrrr."

It's not a quickie, that's for sure—his partner loses patience and goes to bed. Then goes to work in the morning. Then comes home. Then... you get the picture. "To err is human," but this takes the bloody biscuit.

We love how, in the middle of a party, the bloke's mum asks, "Are you still with us, son?", but his dad tells him to "knock it off". As it turns out, the only way to break the trance is with Sky Stream, a box that makes an abundance of choice easier (and quicker) to process.
