When Hurricane Otis struck Mexico in October 2023, sunny Acapulco became a disaster zone. Not-for-profit charity Reinserta leapt into action, aware that many of the city's most vulnerable children and teenagers were at risk of being forgotten in the chaos.

That fraught period inspires this commercial from directors Alex Olten and Iris Valles, who use the signs of a hurricane to convey a whole other threat. Together with DP Pedro Luque, who knows all about extreme weather thanks to 'Society of the Snow', they put two sisters through the wringer.

Windows rattle, glass shatters, and sparks fly as the 'storm' approaches. When they hide under the bed, the noise is replaced by footsteps. The charity are no meteorologists, but they know what child abuse looks and sounds like.
