DAVID used to know someone who always used "flare" instead of "flair" and vice versa. This tie-up between Scuderia Ferrari and Peroni Nastro Azzurro would have caused them to malfunction, as it has panache and pyrotechnics in equal measure.

Directed by Sam Coleman, the ad is a red, white, and green ode to the tifosi—Ferrari supporters who watched Carlos Sainz win the 2024 Australian Grand Prix (Red Bull and Max Verstappen must have been in a generous mood that day). They're an excited and nervous bunch before a race, so it's always a relief when the lights go out.

Coleman captures this moment in slow-motion, complete with plumes of red smoke that emerge from bottles of Peroni. Since this is a car ad of sorts, the brand sprinkle a healthy number of zero-percenters throughout.
