It's a long way down.
by Andrew MacGregor

It's been fourteen years since Isaiah Mustafa said the immortal words, "I'm on a horse." Many Old Spice commercials later (with a Tide spot thrown in for good measure), The Man Your Man Could Smell Like has mixed up his exercise routine thanks to one arm pull-ups.

He uses his spare hand to hold Old Spice Swagger, a two-in-one deodorant-slash-antiperspirant. Some people prefer to just inhale and exhale during a workout, but not Mustafa: he likes to interact with those who wander over to his part of the beach ("How do I smell? You tell me").

The camera then pulls back to reveal his 'gym': a stick balanced on two horses with long legs—the kind of legs that would make giraffes do a double-take. This is the norm for Old Spice's spokesman, but viewers are free to start with the advertised product and work their way up via donkeys or Great Danes.
