Capture the flag.
by Andrew MacGregor

The NFL want as many people interested in flag football before the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics as possible. Colin Kaepernick is already on board, and so is Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (perhaps no one from home team Los Angeles Rams was available). He rocks up outside the Memorial Coliseum, and it's time to light a fire.

Sure enough, Hurts lobs a flaming pigskin onto the Olympic Torch Tower, turns to the camera, and says: "It's our turn". OK, not until August 2028, but we admire the City of Angels' moxie. Expect to learn a lot more about this non-contact malarkey in the months and years to come.
