Tool twist of fate.
by Andrew MacGregor

Motorway's last two commercials featured dance mats crossed with calculators and then a game show/talent contest that brought "bid mania" to the masses. This 30" commercial—"a Motorway true story", no less— is far more grounded, as a man shares how he was made redundant, sold his car, then started his own handyman business with the dosh.

It's a neat way to combine a TVC, a radio spot, and a bus shelter poster, since the protagonist makes his decision behind the wheel of his soon-to-be-sold motor. Reality bites more often than not, but Motorway hope tales of those who turned their lives around through car sales will attract new interest.
