The financial success of 'Deadpool & Wolverine' will come as a relief to brands like M&M's, who still want the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be a 'thing'. They hope the chance to win a Marvel adventure at Disneyland Paris will shift plenty of units over the next few weeks, and help the Martians land another superhero film. The stakes are low in this 40" spot—there’s only pack of peanut M&M's in the whole supermarket—but the race between Red and a human protagonist has a couple of high points. Red throws a paper plate like Captain America's shield, only for it to bounce off a trolley in tragic fashion. Red then slides under the trolley thanks to the gap between his eyebrows and his face/body. It's not enough to win the race, but we like the four M&Ms chances against one supermarket employee.
