Snack attack.
by Andrew MacGregor

This Lunchables commercial is Oskar Bård’s contribution to the kaiju canon. If Godzilla and King Kong ever run out of foes, Bård and agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners have a monster made out of ham, cheddar, and crackers on standby.

From the moment ripples appear in a glass of water à la 'Jurassic Park' , you can tell that everyone involved is well-versed in monsterdom. When a leg made of cheddar slams into the asphalt, it leaves the mother of potholes. How long will the council take to fix that, you wonder.

Despite the carnage wrought by the monster, no one's scared for too long. That's because a little girl reckons it's a pony, not an alien (the 'Awww' from the crowd is a lovely touch). In the real world, this larger-than-life snack is her 'Lunchabuild'—a playful way to whet a hungry child's appetite.
