Gown and out. | |

We like to think Julia Roberts offered to stand on top of the Arc de Triomphe as part of the Paris 2024 Olympics and/or Paralympics, only for the organisers to say, "Thanks, but no thanks." She turned to Lancôme and director Damien Chazelle, who thought they could make a 60" commercial out of it and sell some perfume. Rather than take it from the top, the ad starts in a lift shared by Roberts and a bellboy. It's a tight squeeze thanks to her voluminous pink gown, but what's an Academy Award winner and brand ambassadress (a real word, believe it or not) meant to do about it? Change into a suit and leave the bellboy to explain everything, of course. We're glad Roberts gets to stand on top of the Arc de Triomphe and how dare you think otherwise. It's just that commercials set in Paris need to work a lot harder after the hurricane of madness that was the Olympic opening ceremony.
