Guinness

Sustainable stout.
by Andrew MacGregor

"A good life starts from the ground up." That's what the female narrator of this Guinness Africa commercial thinks, and so do the brand. Her son is a farmer who not only grows crops, but also helps those around him feel better and live more. No wonder Peter won Guinness Farmer of the Year (check out that sash).

To illustrate the brand’s support of sons and daughters of the soil like Peter, a harp-shaped cloud appears overhead as those all-important seeds are sown. What follows is a celebratory road trip that ends with food, music, and—you guessed it—bottles of Foreign Extra Stout.

As is so often the case with Guinness Africa spots, the tone, choreography, and colour palette brim with energy from start to finish. As day turns to night, a sustainable tomorrow looks more and more likely thanks to Peter and his ilk.
