Everyone wants to start their holiday on a high, so why not a thrilling adrenaline high. This literal roller coaster of an ad, features a family who board a log flume in the centre of Oslo that takes them all the way to the airport at 210 km/h. Coincidentally, that’s also the exact speed that the Flytoget airport express train travels at. The idea that getting to the airport can be both quick and enjoyable is encapsulated perfectly in the notion of a theme park ride, and Director Martin Werner brings this to life with finesse. The ad is entertainingly light and leans into the whimsical idea of the train as a log flume, its waves soaking people waiting on the platform and surprising cows as it speeds through the Norwegian countryside, but it stays rooted enough in reality to ensure the whole piece feels polished and delightfully believable.
