Happy as Larry. | |

This leisurely commercial is all about Floyd and Larry. The former are a brand of luggage, while the latter is a forty-eight-year-old bodybuilder-turned-professional miniature model maker. Size, therefore, matters to the bloke played with such poise by Dan Avasilcai. The man-mountain makes molehills out of mountains, if you will, shrinking anything and everything that takes his fancy. That includes the advertised suitcase that never leaves his side—the hotel employee who offers to take it gets a polite but stern rebuke at the breakfast table. As Larry meditates on the beach at Hastings, his Hot Orange companion (and its miniature copy) sit next to him like dogs made of Makrolon polycarbonate. It's a welcome change of pace from go-go-go luggage ads, with an off-beat sense of serenity at its core.
