You want moo opinion?
by Andrew MacGregor

Flora's 'Skip the Cow' campaign continues with a poser: "Is it a bit weird we've spent so many years pumping plants through a cow?" the animal in question is asked what she thinks about our desire for dairy, and her answer is unequivocal.

For years, Flora's rationale was that it provides the humans who use it instead of butter with a healthier alternative, but this argument has been superseded by an earnest pitch on behalf of the animals exploited to meet our appetite for dairy.

It's a compelling case and the power of the argument is emphasised by the stripped-back style of this commercial which ensures the audience focuses wholly on the proposition, albeit with a smile as the cow surreally becomes the advocate for our conversion to vegan foodstuffs.
