Don't let the name fool you—a lot of work goes into cosplay. The man who coined the term, Nobuyuki Takahashi, says cosplay is "a fan's expression of his or her love for a favourite character", with serious time and money spent on the activity around the world.

All that hard work inspires this Eastpak commercial from director Guy de la Palme, who uses made-up characters instead of real ones for obvious reasons. The make-up and costume design are superb, but it's the go-big-or-go-home narrator who steals the show.

He speaks for those who were born "mere mortals", but "make haste across the grey plains of Mundania" every weekend. They also need backpacks, bum bags, and suitcases they can rely on before and after the show's over—Eastpak respect them too much to let them down.
