You have to love the madness of TV commercials when they go down the comedy sketch path. The premise of this script is a juxtaposition between a nihilistic goth with a love of heavy metal, and brass playing square which comes about through a shared love of the advertise soft drink.

Director Steve Ayson squeezes a lot of gags into just 30" and editor Nick Rondeau deserves a nod for achieving this without the action feeling at all rushed.

This ad draws attention to a new variant in a fashion which seems likely to capture the attention of the target audience and put a smile on their faces at the same time. It's exactly the kind of wit and charm that was largely absent from much of the work that was debuted in last month's Super Bowl.
