by Jason Stone

'Succession' star Brian Cox channels his inner Logan Roy in this entertaining commercial for Asics which calls out the kind of cutesy working culture that persuades people to sacrifice their own interests for the sake of "free fruit" and "Wellness Wednesdays". Cox opens the ad by revealing that he's "not the deadliest thing in the office" because that title now belongs to the humble desk.

It's an interesting way of delineating Asics from other sportswear companies at a moment when this market is more competitive than ever, but it does make the case for exercise in general rather than this brand specifically, and may prove to be as much a spur for sales of its rivals as it is for kit made by the advertised company.

That's not a bad outcome though and it's great to see Cox in "full beast" mode once again.
