Where did you think they came from?
by Andrew MacGregor

Let DAVID get this straight: you thought Easter eggs came from chocolate factories? For cluck's sake. It's an insult to farmers like the ones in this Asda commercial, who get up at the crack of dawn to check what their chocolate chickens have laid.

The ad makes fun use of Green Supermarket’s range, as the coops are painted in the colours of Aero, Bounty, Maltesers, and the whole Cadbury range. Most farmers would be disappointed with a tiny yield, but Mini Eggs are a different matter.

Once the delivery truck has left, there's just enough time to plug hot cross buns are "as tasty as M&S". Let the, erm, bun fight commence!
