You watch, mate?
by Andrew MacGregor

Water cooler moments were pushed towards extinction by the pandemic, but this Amazon commercial offers hope for the future. Whether in the lift, by the photocopier, on a break, or just off the phone, the question on everyone's lips is, "Did you see it?" Whatever 'it' is demands attention and high-fives from those in the know.

Keen-eyed viewers will spot Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) on someone's phone, but he's not the main event here. As the chatter intensifies, an IT worker cannot help but ask: "Are they talking about a new show or something?" His colleague says: "Nope, they're talking about their ad."

That's right—the company now have a commercial in the wild thanks to Amazon Ads. The company could have put a bit more effort into the name, but we doubt brands who want ads that work as hard as they do will mind.
