'Away Day Ready'

Toon toon train.
by Andrew MacGregor

It's been a busy summer for The Midnight Club with kit launches for Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United. It's back to the North East with a spot directed by Stanley Brock, who gets to take over Aln Valley Railway for the day.

Scored by Erasure's 1989 hit 'Stop!' (someone must have left 'The Loco-Motion' on the platform), the ad lets fans sit back and enjoy the ride to an away game. It’s not just punters on the train, though—current and former players alike are on board.

Shay Given saves a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale that falls off the trolley; Nolberto Solano plays the trumpet like he always does; and David Ginola looks a picture of health in the 2024/25 away kit. It's rare for a manager to appear in a spot like this, but fans will appreciate that Eddie Howe reads a book about Bobby Robson.
