Arsenal have signed actor Will Poulter on a very short-term contract. Why? Because of Barry Keoghan. The Irishman agreed to promote Manchester United's 2024-25 third kit, so Arsenal swooped to land Poulter in time for the new season. Not only is he a fan, he knows his way around the kitchen. No doubt inspired by his recent turn in ‘The Bear’, Poulter’s on breakfast duty in a local café (note how he manages to make an Adidas trefoil logo out of a fried egg). Fans have a lot to choose from in north London—Indian, Jamaican, vegan, fish and chips, and the like—but they all share an appetite for success. Arsenal set a high bar for it twenty years ago, when they went forty-nine games unbeaten in the league. As much as this commercial is a plug for the lilac and powder blue third kit, it's also a nod to Arsene Wenger, Freddie Ljungberg, and Patrick Vieira, to name but a few. You can almost smell the vapour rub Vieira rubs on his shirt like the good old days.
