Waterdrop
'Sugarplastic World'
12 May 2023 44s
Pour choices.
by Andrew MacGregor

Director Max Millies crafts a synthetic dystopia for 'microdrink' brand Waterdrop. In a world dominated by plastic containers and multinational companies (pure fantasy, we know), people's heads are now encased in drinks bottles filled with SugarPlast Corp beverages. Less refreshing, more revolting—the only thing worse is a club called 'Glucose Girls'.

Rather than let our world suffer a similar, plasticky fate, the brand invite viewers to add dissolvable flavoured cubes to water instead. The result contains less sugar and encourages the use of reusable bottles, which ticks a couple of major lifestyle boxes with gusto. Only one question remains: does it taste good?

Product Category: Bottled Water

Territory: UK

Director: Max Millies (Common People Films)
DOP: Antonio Paladino (Wizzo & Co)
