As the world continues to crash around our collective ears and global events make us question what the point of it all is, it's more important than ever to find meaning in life's little moments of joy. That's the thrust of this sweet commercial for VW, which sees a father delight his daughter by using (perhaps abusing) the car's automatic 'sit-to-start' feature.

Every time his bum touches the driver's seat, a blast of Wham's 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' fills the car, greatly amusing his young daughter strapped into the back. He can't resist making her giggle over and over again... at least until he notices his partner suggesting he should get on with their journey.

It's a sweet and relatable way to highlight the new feature, promising drivers that switching to the electric model will do more for their lives than just have an impact on the environment. Messaging focused solely on climate-based benefits can feel disconnected from our day-to-day lives at times, so this is a neat way to marry concern for the future with the necessity of enjoying the present while we still can.
