'Father's Day'
6 June 2023 4 mins 05s
The Generation Game.
by Jason Stone

The current obsession with AI has many manifestations, and this is one of the most curious yet. Goodness knows whether it's true or not that the scripts which are being read by 'fathers' and young people were generated by the technology du jour, but the idea is that, because they were, the scenarios they describe are framed along very traditional lines.

The notion that only AI will do this to advertising is laughable, and, in any case, the second half of this lengthy film where the pairings express their reservations about the clichéd scripts also feels as though it could have been generated by AI.
