This fun commercial for Stella Artois suggests that no one should drink - or dine - alone. A woman sitting down to dinner in her flat finds herself suddenly falling through the floor - table, beverage, and all. But this is no building code violation, it's the supernaturally social effects of the advertised beer coming into reality. Director Mark Zibert brings a kinetic energy to the floor smashing action here, as every movement sends the slowly increasing party into another apartment in their building. They acquire a diverse array of friends as they go, including one bloke wearing a VR headset who seems shocked his virtual experience has suddenly become very visceral. This is an entertaining way to emphasise the social aspects of having a beer, while avoiding the usual cliches about social lubrication. Stylish and refined, it's a lovely slice of grown-up chaos which encourages viewers to come together over a cold beverage... although hopefully with less property damage involved.
