'Dream Big, It's Christmas'

Amazing Macy.
by Andrew MacGregor

Tears for Fears (via Michael Andrews and Gary Jules) went to number one at Christmas with 'Mad World'. Twenty years later, the band contribute to Sports Direct's festive campaign with 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World'—a song that once contained the lyric "Everybody wants to go to war." The brand dodged a bullet there!

So, who reckons they have what it takes to outrun, outbox, and outscore everyone else? That would be Macy, a girl who goes toe-to-toe with Conor Benn (he must have a licence to fight in this universe at least), roars in the face of Zharnel Hughes, and does what Hedvig Lindahl wishes she could do: save a shot from Alessia Russo.

Thanks to LOOSE's meta direction, Macy gets to watch her dream self on television only for the doorbell to ring. In a lovely bit of seasonal casting, Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus delivers a gift to the future world champion. A few years ago it would have been Roque Santa Cruz.
