A business deal threatens to collapse in Stevie Martin and Lola-Rose Maxwell's new short film, 'Distracted By Food'. As the title suggests, it's not poor negotiation tactics or corporate skulduggery that's the problem, it's the hospitality—namely, the scrumptious Vietnamese summer rolls that are fresher than expected. While one big shot tries to keep his cool before clients on track, his colleague enjoys her own Vietnamese banquet. Soon no one is able to resist the South Asian snacks, or the dipping sauce for that matter ("Please, can you give me the sauce as an IV?"). Food critics would be happy with that line, but dealmakers may want to keep food out of reach until after the meeting.
