Boudica call.
by Jason Stone

After rousing the Iceni into battle, Boudica dashes off for a quick meeting with her accountant in this highly amusing commercial for QuickBooks. This kind of comic anachronism hinges on the little touches, and director Tiny Bullet gravitates towards them with aplomb. DAVID particularly loves the way our heroine accepts the cup of tea that's placed beside her.

Simon, her accountant, doesn't seem remotely fazed by her appearance and enters into a helpful conversation about what she can and can't claim as a legitimate expense without batting an eyelid, and presumably he does so with assistance from the advertised service.

The opening sequence is handled beautifully as well. Many a head will rise from a mobile phone screen when this pops up on the telly box, because it genuinely looks like it might be a trailer for a coming TV series. Having ensnared our attention, it then takes us on the journey already described. Lovely stuff.
