Just the three of us. | |

The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) are the latest brand to confront the cost of living crisis, with pets and their anxious owners in the spotlight. This 60" film, courtesy of agency Open Creates and director Charlie Thorne, shows how the pressure creeps up on families and causes difficult decisions to be made. All is well at first: a girl spends as much time with her Jack Russell Terrier as possible, who must feel like the luckiest dog alive. Fed, watered, and loved day in, day out, life is good for her four-legged friend. Yet mum is increasingly distracted by phone calls and rising energy bills—at the moment, all it takes is one emergency to back families like hers into a corner. When the dog falls ill one night, it's hard to see a way back. This is where the advertised charity come in, as they promise to help make "the cost of loving" more bearable. It would be a doggone tragedy if bonds like the one shown here were broken due to extreme circumstances.
