Wombat and forth. | |

People say it's the thought that counts, but soap in the shape of a wombat? That's a whole other ball game. Lavender-like scent or no lavender-like scent, it's straight to the cupboard for this festive misfit. "Yep, I'm a regift," he says, and boy is that ever the truth. This forty-five-second commercial charts the wombat's journey "halfway around the country" as recipients wonder what they’ve done to deserve this blight on the bathroom. One bloke tries to salvage the situation with "That's not the whole present," but it's a naff effort. After the wombat commiserates with Susan, a vintage doll and fellow reject, he and department store Myer remind viewers that a good gift takes proper thought. He's a wise wombat (his voice actor sells it very well), and his reward is a little girl who loves what he brings to the colour wheel.
