At least, that's the transparently image-rehabbing approach taken in this promo for Maroon 5's 'Middle Ground', which features Adam "Cringey Affair Texts" Levine hanging out in family-friendly paradise.

The film is shot documentary style by director David Dobkin, who captures small moments of intimacy between Levine, his bandmates, and their family members as they craft the featured song. It's a shame that such well-composed shots are tainted by the context created by Levine's bad behaviour, as under different circumstances this would be a sweet, down to earth look at a band maturing with age and experience.
