The music may be (arguably) better these days, but there's something comforting in knowing that angsty teenagers still have artists to shriek out their feelings to. Australian trap-metal screamy-shouty-sweary hybrid Kim Dracula is one such artist, who came to public attention as so many do these days - via a Lady Gaga cover on TikTok.
'Seventy Thorns' features guest vocals from spiritual predecessor Jonathan Davis (of pioneering nu-metal band Korn), and combines a trap beat with vicious speed-metal guitar work. The lyrics aren't exactly Shakespeare (A little worm/ In a sea of shit/ Take the wrong turn/ In your face, I spit), but they combine well with the surreal, VFX-heavy visuals from director Jensen Noen.
