This Key Changes ad is a tough watch and a tough listen at first. The protagonist is a man plagued by a constant din—a powerful drone that only he can hear. You can see the effect it has on him though, pain etched on his face as he paces his hospital room. He cannot skip this track alone, and that's where the advertised charity come in. The man is wary at first, but then tunes into what his mentor hopes to achieve with a guitar, a journal, and a microphone. Director Lee Holmes captures the process well, and the odd smile or deep breath speaks volumes about the protagonist's treatment. We may not get to hear him sing at the end, but at least we know that awful din from the start is gone.
