Carlsberg's upmarket cousin Jacobsen - named after the founder and first brewer of both brands - gets the classy treatment in this intriguing commercial. The film offers a layered visual experience courtesy of director Joffery Jans, who slowly pans out from a woman opening a can of the advertised tipple to reveal an increasingly busy tableau. Cinematographer Peter Riis brings a painterly quality to the visuals, emphasising the delicate blues of the brand's packaging via unusual objects including balloons, baskets of flowers, and a full drum kit. There whole piece is rich in detail, which rewards attentive viewers and encourages us to focus on the ad whenever it pops up on our screens - there's always something new to take in.
