The Derry best. | |

Derry Girls co-stars Jamie-Lee O'Donnell and Saoirse-Monica Jackson plan a tour of their hometown in this chatty commercial. The structure is reminiscent of the scene in 'Shaun of the Dead' when Shaun's plan is tweaked and condensed each time ("How's that for a slice of fried gold?"). Thus, O'Donnell and Jackson need a few attempts to nail their itinerary. After four series of 'Derry Girls' and a handful of other projects together, you'd expect the lead duo to bounce off one another. They do so here with charm and clear affection for Northern Ireland's second-largest city. Meanwhile, the format—handled well by director Jim O'Hanlon and editor Nick Armstrong—evokes many a tourist's attempts to cram as much into a day as possible.
