by Andrew MacGregor

H&M's Hawaii Keisuke range is a tie-up between fashion designer Ryan Hawaii and contemporary artist Shane Berkery. The former is London-born and of Cuban-Jamaican stock, while the latter is an Irish-Japanese Dubliner. Though the pair come from different backgrounds, they share an inherent desire to create.

That's why director Miranda May lets them write, draw, paint, and sew at will, as if any pause would be detrimental to their health. That means there's no time for gags from comedian-stroke-fashion model Munya Chawawa, which is a shame. Yet May still injects ample personality into the piece via topsy-turvy looks at Hawaii and Berkery's work.
