Cate Blanchett provides the voiceover for this lofty commercial for Giorgio Armani's Crema Nera. The posh wrinkle cream carries a hefty price tag, and contains "only the most potent molecules" of Selaginella lepidophylla - also known as the 'resurrection plant'. Director Luca De Santis complements Blanchett's purred vocals with equally portentous imagery, showcasing waves crashing onto ragged cliffs as a model slowly strides around the Italian island where the advertised face cream was purportedly cooked up. It's a well executed piece of work, delivering a lot of information about the product while maintaining a focus on aesthetics. Whether the 'Reviscentalis' extract will revitalise skin in the same way its plant of origin soaks up water remains to be seen, but this is a stylish argument for those with a penchant for luxury to give it a go.
