Twisted Tropes | |

The Eurovision Song Contest has long established a set of musical tropes which are either beloved or reviled, depending on your bandwidth for continental cheese. Garbled mixtures of English and the act's native tongue, overblown costumes, the occasional dip into ageing novelty acts - you can guarantee all of the above will be represented at any given competition. Foxy Bingo switch things up with their tie-in campaign, which notably continues to eschew the brand's well-known furry mascot and his purple suit. Instead, a collection of what we expect to be folk-singing grannies are revealed to be hip-hop baddies, posturing for the camera and sporting gold chains while gesturing threateningly with teacups. It's not as camp as the contest itself, but it's a fun change of pace for the betting brand.
