Vegetarians of a serious nature may not enjoy this amusingly dark commercial for US betting chain FanDuel. The piece expands on a commonly used phrase - 'winner winner, chicken dinner' - by alerting viewers that a new scheme from the advertised casino gives the aforementioned birds plenty to worry about. The action takes place in an animated farmyard, in which a pair of chickens ponder their own mortality in entertainingly serious fashion. When one alerts the other to the reasoning behind his question - that more birds have been disappearing due to FanDuel's free meal offer - the less alert fowl can't quite grasp its companion's concern. It's a well-judged send up of applying human rationality and philosophical thought to animals, and is almost guaranteed to upset the likes of PETA and co. with its implication of a bloody end. Hungry gamblers, on the other hand, will be flocking to the brand's location in droves with a new reason to hope for a win.
