Peter Pan gets a Twenty-First Century update in this intriguing film for Deutsche Telekom. The youth-focused effort opens with a series of young people going about their lives - hustling at school, dealing with the gig economy, and trying to get ahead in a corporate environment. When a friend hits them up to go out in the evening, it's tempting to beg exhaustion and simply get an early night instead. However, persevering leads them to a magical world of music, joy, and excitement, accessed through a neon portal into a different reality. It's an interesting take on the ad's overall message - that you can't grow up if you've never been young - as it speaks to the pressures faced by those who came of age during lockdowns. Perhaps a summer of wildness is a good idea for everyone - particularly those who have years of letting their hair down to catch up on.
