If Deliveroo had a Christmas list, profitability would be right at the top. Founded in 2013, the online food delivery company narrowed its losses this year, at least, but they would love to wake up on Christmas Day and be in the black.
The brand have high hopes for the festive season, if viewers adopt the 'anything goes' attitude shown in this thirty-second commercial. Sprouts on pizza? A mince pie for breakfast? A carrot for Rudolph and tacos for Santa? Marks & Spencer have already pooh-poohed tradition this year, now it's Deliveroo's turn.
Thanks to a zippy blend of live action and animation, plus another sound performance from Owen Teale, the voice of Deliveroo, people may want to tweak their festive menu or overhaul the whole thing.
