A sandwich begs for flavourful relief in this funny new commercial for Branston. A man sitting in a meeting - presumably not the most riveting to begin with - is distracted by the sight of a limp and pathetic cheese sandwich sitting on the table in front of him, beginning to sweat as he forms a spontaneous psychic link with the dry, bland excuse for a snack. Director Andrew Gaynord pitches the comedy well here, allowing tension to ramp up between sandwich and man until he finally breaks and launches into the brand's old school jingle. It's a fun way to introduce a new generation to an enduring slogan, reminding viewers of the pickle perfectionists' heritage and longstanding place in Britain's kitchen cupboards.
