Cooking up a storm.
by Jason Stone

This sweetly told tale focuses upon a security guard whose uninspiring snacks motivate him to try something a little more adventurous. Before he knows where he is, he is creating all manner of culinary delights. He tries them out on a colleague, and then appears to become ever more ambitious in his acts of kitchen derring-do.

The role of Amazon in all of this is kept neatly in the background... a mere tool to help him on his journey to Epicurean greatness. But it's pivotal too, as it facilitates the expansion of his skills by providing him with books to inspire him, equipment to cook with, and even the food which he uses.

Director Michael Spiccia coaxes a great performance from his protagonist, and ensures that the audience feels invested in his progress, and feels good about the assistance he receives from Amazon.
