Aldi steal a march on 'Wonka' with 'Kevin and the Christmas Factory', the latest festive parody from McCann UK and Psyop. The puns are out in force here, as Kevin the Carrot's joined by Grate Grandad on a tour of William Conker's factory. Alas, not every member of the tour group is pure of heart like Kevin. There's Greedy, Gluttonous Grape, who jumps into Conker's river of gravy; Sulky, Sour Rhubarb, who covers herself in bubblegum; Spoilt Little Sprout, who gets caught in some machinery; and Mischievous Kiwi, who gets more chocolate dessert than he bargained for. As enjoyable as it is to see Kevin triumph for the umpteenth time, it's the double entendres that tickle us the most, like "I can see his plum crack" and "That's huge, Willy!" It's almost naughty list material, but the confectioners' sugar animation and Jim Broadbent's avuncular VO ensure the nice is right.
