Four is the magic number in this jaunty spot for Westland. Scored by Jacques Offenbach's 'Galop infernal', the ad claims "one little squeeze" of Boost plant food can make a big difference, with four-times more flowers and blooms for your buck. After all, the neighbours can't be allowed to win another spring/summer.

Unlike many of the gardening ads DAVID has suffered over the years, Westland's effort has some oomph to it. This is, in large part, down to director Dominic O'Riordan, who crams plenty of colour and growth into 30".

Though O'Riordan and DP Joe Douglas have fun with the flowers, they also celebrate the human side of gardening. Whether it's a ride in a wheelbarrow or the zest of a light rain shower, the ad promotes both the personal and the aesthetic pleasures of a well-tended flower bed.
