The characters are shown doing normal things like, cooking, sunbathing in the back garden, showering and watching TV before deciding that they’re going to “bingo”. All of the characters chosen are vivid, full of life and likeable types... the kind of people you would love to live next door to but probably don’t! They are very much the stars of the show and carry the ad. As always, it’s uncomfortable to watching gambling represented in this way - the service is made to look like it’s a fun gaming app and that, of course, is far from the full story. However, the messaging is strong and consistent, and executed in a light manner... it doesn’t feel forced or overdone and, in this respect, the commercial very much achieves its aim.
