Specsavers
'I Didn't Go'
8 August 2022 30s
No-go zone.
by Andrew MacGregor

What does "should've gone to Specsavers" mean post-pandemic? The brand acknowledge that not everyone is ready, willing, and/or able to visit a branch in person, so this 30" ad draws attention to their home visit option. However, the opticians firm, who struggled during the early days of Covid-19, have fun with the concept first.

When asked if they use the high street chain, the cast are bemused by such a question—one even laughs in the interviewer's face. Yet what appears to be a mass exodus turns out to be a new perspective on the brand. As many retailers battle to increase footfall, Specsavers take home advantage into consideration.
