A biblical story takes on a fun new twist in this entertaining short film. 'Lilith and Eve' presents Adam and Eve as a dysfunctional couple, with their inequality brought to light when Adam's first wife - Lilith, independent demon and actual first woman on Earth - shows up to grab some apples. Edgy imagery and playful animation give the film buckets of attitude, as Eve has the truth of her existence revealed. The threat of being transformed into a terrible creature if she disobeys or leaves her babyish husband, it turns out, is a lie created to keep her tethered to him. She goes back on her own terms, with a humiliated Adam taunted by a snake whom he threatens to blame for the whole incident. It's funny stuff with a critical edge, encouraging people to draw their own conclusions when it comes to religious inaccuracies.
